New Purchases of Calendar
In May 2019, ExpressionEngine announced the launch of the EE Add-ons Store. As of May 24, 2019, we are now requiring all new purchases of Calendar be made at the EE Add-ons Store. This will ultimately be a better experience for all customers, as they will be able to manage all third party licenses in a more robust shopping cart experience as well.
The Calendar add-on at the EE Add-ons Store contains both a Calendar 2.x package compatible with EE3 and Calendar 3.x package compatible with EE4/EE5.
Updating to Calendar 3.x for EE4 & EE5
Calendar 3.x for EE4/EE5 is a free upgrade for all Calendar 2.x for EE3 customers. If you wish to upgrade from EE3 to EE4 or EE5, simply ensure that you download a fresh copy of Calendar 3.x from your account and use the files designated for EE4 (and EE5).
Upgrading from EE 2.x
If you'd like to upgrade from Calendar 1.x to Calendar 2.x or 3.x, please very carefully read the documentation about this, as Calendar 2.x+ was a complete rewrite with some features signficantly changed or removed.
For existing Calendar 1.x customers that would like to upgrade, you can access a discounted upgrade ($99) inside your Solspace account area. Please follow the steps below:
- Visit your Account on the Solspace website.
- Locate your existing Calendar 1.x license in your list of purchases and click the Upgrade to Calendar 3 Add button next to it to add the upgrade to your account. This will give you access to Calendar 2.x (for EE3) and 3.x (for EE4&5).
- In the Cart page, review your item(s), click the Checkout button and complete your purchase.
- Once completed, you'll see an additional product inside your Account for Calendar 3.x. Download a copy of that and follow the upgrading procedures and migrating guide in the documentation.
